Retailers don’t often go out of their way to use anything much more than the prospect of a good bargain hunt to get customers into their stores come end of season sales time. Gap recently tried something quite different and literally turned their shopping experience on its head. The retailer took one of its stores in Vancouver, transforming it overnight by inverting almost everything. The transformation was part of the launch of a broader loyalty programme that allows people to buy clothing at full price and receive automatic credits should it go on sale in the next 45 days. Smart retailing and smart viral.
Cheers,
